We need the children in our care to have trust in us to be their special people to care for them during the day, we need the children's parents/carers to also have trust in us as practitioners, and us practitioners need to have trust in the parents. Reading to the children, my absolute FAVOURITE thing to do multiple times during the day. Nothing beats sitting down, getting all cosy in the cooler months, or sitting outside in the sunshine with the trees moving in the wind above you and having that fresh air move around you – and reading to a child.
